SELCO 56 is a stable, inert organic formula specially prepared to prevent and repair electrical failures caused by moisture, corrosion, dirt, or friction.
Its very low surface tension, high capillary action, and strong affinity for metals provide exceptional penetrating and spreading properties, with an expected coverage of over 140 m² per liter. The microscopic film spreads beneath moisture, covering the entire surface by penetrating pores and cracks in the finish. Penetration continues for up to 24 hours, ensuring complete moisture elimination while also releasing rusted and frozen parts.
The continuous molecular film is self-repairing, remains flexible, and never becomes dry or brittle. It seals the surface against future moisture and corrosion. Corrosion protection is achieved through a multiple, complex system of inhibitors dispersed in the non-volatile portion of the product. The insulating film resists the flow of corrosion current, passivates active metal surface ions, and eliminates electrolytes and corrosive media through its protective barrier.
RECOMMENDED USAGE:
Recommended for preventive maintenance and protection of electrical and electronic equipment exposed to moisture, humidity, salt air, flooding, storage, and transportation conditions.
Suitable for use on generators, pumps, motors, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, control panels, terminal blocks, battery terminals, cables, plugs, sockets, contacts, switches, instruments, meters, alarms, air conditioners, signal systems, communication equipment, welders, and other electrical assemblies requiring moisture displacement, corrosion protection, and contact lubrication.
ADVANTAGES:
- Volatile components provide supplementary cleaning action and evaporate within 4–6 hours.
- The remaining film offers excellent lubricity for precision lubrication.
- High dielectric strength makes it suitable for high-voltage applications.
- Does not increase electrical resistance.
- Restores electrical characteristics to their original values.
- Protection duration varies according to environmental conditions.
- Best performance is achieved in indoor environments.
- As the film remains soft and never dries, direct outdoor weather exposure may reduce protection time and require reapplication.
